10 Things That’ll Almost Definitely Sell Out: From Our Place to Owala - New York Magazine

For this week’s “Don’t Dillydally,” we’ve surfaced a range of things we’re sure will sell out — including Thirdlove’s first-ever minimizer bra, the return of Phoebe Bridgers and Catbird’s jewelry collaboration, and Our Place’s new grill pan (which makes bread, too). 

Though Greta Gerwig’s star-studded Barbie won’t hit theaters until July 21, the tie-in merch just keeps coming. The latest drop is a very pink collection with Gap, featuring a logoed skirt printed with Mattel’s original font for the doll, a puff-sleeved denim jacket (that comes in both adult and toddler sizes), a cotton-candy-colored baseball cap, and a T-shirt that says just “Ken.”

Simon Miller (known for its “cartoonyclogs, as our colleagues at the Cut have reported) has collaborated with Mango on the most colorful and summery of collections — in shades of Bottega green and patterns with the sun. This flaming bucket hat is a highlight.

In other underthings firsts, luxury lingerie label Cosabella has debuted two side-support bras with paneling to elude any side-boob situations. There’s the Soire Confidence, made from sheer mesh, and the Never Say Never, decorated with scalloped lace.

Catbird is reissuing its collaboration with singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers. (The first time around, the limited-edition run sold out very quickly.) The pieces are inspired by the musician’s lyrics, including this UFO charm with a pearl dome on top and chain “beam.”

Hot off the stovetop: Kitchenware maker Our Place has come out with a grill pan. It’s made from oven-safe enameled cast iron that doesn’t need to be seasoned. It can also work as an add-on to the company’s Perfect Pot for bread-making.

And water-bottle brand Owala — which has become somewhat of a social-media darling — just released a kids’ version of its FreeSip bottle, which boasts its signature top on a smaller 16-ounce size (and comes in colorways like “bunny business” ). Comedian Samantha Irby is an on-the-record fan: “It’s like you breathe in and water comes up. You don’t have to slurp or shake around or move the straw. For those of us who love to sip, it’s top tier.”

Japanese home-appliance company Balmuda, which is famous for its toaster oven (a favorite of Emily Mariko’s), has debuted a new coffee maker called “The Brew.” It comes with three brewing modes — regular, strong, and iced. And at five and a half inches wide, the sleek-looking machine is fit for even the smallest of spaces.

Italian shoemaker Koio partnered with legendary Le Sirenuse Hotel in Positano for a line of sneakers and slides made in Tuscany. Our favorite pair is emblazoned with “Don’t Worry,” a nod to one of the neon signs you’ll see inside the resort.
