*UPDATE* College of Southern Idaho issues Shelter In Place order for campus residents. - KMVT

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) - There is more information about the Shelter in Place order issued by the College of Southern Idaho Campus Safety Department on Sunday evening, September 18th.

The College of Southern Idaho Campus Safety Department received a report from the Twin Falls Police Department of a suspect they were pursuing which had a gun.

The suspect was last seen near the Pickle Ball Courts approximately at 7:49pm Sunday night. There is proof that the suspect had traveled through the main CSI Campus Property in Twin Falls. The description of suspect is male, 6′, red balding hair, in a gray t-shirt, wearing glasses, and had flame tattoos on his hand.

A Campus wide lockdown was issued at 7:54pm, and at approximately 8:08 pm, a RAVE alert was sent out as part of the timely warning/emergency notification system.

Campus Safety is working closely with TFPD in bringing updates of this situation. No matter what time of the night, as soon as TFPD informs Campus Safety that the area is safe, they will discontinue the lockdown. Updates will be given prior to business hours of operations.

The Campus Safety Department would like to remind students, faculty, and staff of the following safety precautions. Stay alert to your surroundings. Everyone should be vigilant while walking throughout campus and surrounding areas both during the day and night and to take the appropriate precautions, such as walking with others and utilizing walking escorts.

Anyone may call the Campus Safety Department at any time at 208-732-6605 if they believe they are in danger while on campus. The Campus Safety Department will assist with escorts or transportations whenever appropriate.

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The College of Southern Idaho sent out an emergency alert telling students to shelter in place.

A robbery suspect with a gun, was seen near the pickle ball courts on the east side of the main campus just after 8pm, Sunday.

The suspect was last seen wearing a grey shirt, short hair and glasses and has a tattoo on his right arm.
