FRAMINGHAM – Framingham High School was in a Shelter-In-Place this afternoon, just after 12:30 p.m., but it has ended.

Framingham Superintendent of Schools Bob Tremblay told SOURCE that no weapon and no bomb was found, after a search by Mass State Police with their dogs.

“It was determined this was not a credible threat,” said Tremblay.

“The Framingham Police Department received a report of a possible threat at Framingham High School. Out of an abundance of caution Massachusetts State Police conducted a low level assessment search of the of the building while Framingham High School sheltered in place. The State Police have concluded their search at this time and have cleared,” said Framingham Police at 1:25 p.m.

The threat is still under investigation, said police.

‘We were informed of a possible threat against the Framingham High School community. The District is following established safety protocols. FHS is engaged in a shelter-in-place, and the Massachusetts State Police are conducting a localized search using detection dogs in an abundance of caution,” announced the district.

The call came in just before 10:30 a.m. The person threatened to “blow up” the school, SOURCE was told.

“We do not anticipate any changes to dismissal procedures or after school activities,” said the school district.
