Baltimore grandmother caught in tragic double shooting due to wrong place, time - Fox Baltimore

She was the 10th homicide of the year in Baltimore City.

Mary Lou Schuman was one of two people shot and killed in a double shooting Friday night in South Baltimore.

A true case of the wrong place at the wrong time, the 60-year-old, mother of four and grandmother of five, was leaving an establishment in the 4300 block of Pennington Ave when shots rang out.

FOX45 spoke with her daughter Lisa Bush about learning of her mother's murder.

"I just ran up there in my van with my husband and everything was block off, They wouldn't tell me anything," Bush said.

Bush had spoken with her mother just the day before.

According to police audio, two male black suspects with masks fled the scene after the shooting.

Schuman's boyfriend Dave Ellenberg witnessed her being shot while he was waiting inside his truck.

“I saw a guy walk up pretty quick and I just heard boom, and just flashes. I saw the muzzle flash," said Ellenberg.

Ellenberg ran over to check on Schuman.

"I held her hand and she was still breathing. I kept telling her to stay with me," said Ellenberg.

So far, no arrests have been made in this case.

The family has set up a Go Fund Me to assist in funeral arraignments.
