Richmond ranked 17th best place to retire in US, according to Country Living - WRIC ABC 8News

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — When it’s finally time to rest, the question is where do you put your feet up? A recent list from Country Living shows that Richmond could be one of the best places to retire in the U.S.

The list, authored by Senior Shopping Editor Isis Briones, includes the 17 best places to retire in the country, with Richmond squeaking in as lucky number 17.

“Last but not least, check out Richmond, which has an unmatched art scene and more,” the article reads. “Despite being an hour and a half from the nation’s capital, Richmond is still as affordable as can be with some of the country’s leading hospitals in town as part of Virginia Commonwealth University.”

Other cities included on the list were Raleigh, North Carolina, Pensacola, Florida, and Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The full list can be found on Country Living’s website.
